Carpe Diem in a nutshell . . .
Peter writes the music and directs vocal rehearsals;
David keeps track of the money and helps co-ordinate publicity, also making sure that we have tea and bickies at rehearsals;
Iain directs the company on stage and helps co-ordinate publicity;
Duncan takes charge of the set and does a great deal of 'problem solving' throughout the year.
Linda is always on hand to answer stupid, 'what if . . .' questions from the rest of the team.
For the Fringe, it's all hands on deck.
A project manager in construction, Duncan has been involved in theatre since the age of fourteen. He's even been (whisper it) Dame in pantomime in Lanark. Always a perfectionist, he wanted to make sure he got it right so did it for five years!
Now settled in Fife, he is actively involved with local musical and drama groups. He also performs with the group "Civil Folk".
A Fifer born and bred, Linda, who works in an office by day, has been involved in musicals and drama for many years. She has performed on stage singing, dancing, and acting as well as working backstage building up her muscles shifting scenery. She also performs with the group "Civil Folk".
Carpe Diem is affiliated to NODA

Peter D Robinson (composer)
Peter studied Music and English at university and teaches English at a Fife secondary school.
As a singer and actor, he has performed with many companies in Edinburgh and Fife, and is often to be found in the pit as MD for amateur Musical and Operatic companies.
Iain Hughes
Iain is Rector of a Fife secondary school, but still finds time for singing, acting, choreographing, directing. Iain is also a consummate juggler: he has to be as he is often rehearsing several shows at the one time!
David Mitchinson
David is a Primary Head Teacher in Fife and is no stranger to treading the boards. Before moving east, David performed with several amateur companies in the West. He is also a busy tenor, travelling around the country as a member of the RSNO Chorus.
